Four years ago, Chad Johnson got down on one knee and proposed to a Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader after scoring a touchdown in a preseason game. On Tuesday, the former Mr. Johnson got down on one knee again, but this time he meant business.
According to TMZ, Chad Ochocinco proposed to his girlfriend of four months, Evelyn Lozada, on Tuesday with a 10-carat engagement ring.
Lozada is a self-proclaimed "entrepreneur personality" and, according to her website, "was born in Brooklyn, raised in the boogie-down Bronx and is always in a New York state of mind." Her claim to fame is that she was once engaged to former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker and managed to parlay that relationship into a spot on the reality television show "Basketball Wives."
The future Senora Ochocinco tweeted about the ring before she tweeted about the engagement: "I'm no rabbit but 10 carats looks good on me!! Let the hating begin ▸▸▸▸▸▸▸ Let's go!!!!! *Wink*"
I seem to be very pessimistic about celebrity relationships, especially when you see the rather lengthy relationships such as Tony Parker and Eva Longoria go down the drain. But hey, who knows? We'll see how long this lasts.
