It ain't cool to be no jive turkey this close to Thanksgiving, and Reggie Noble and Clifford Smith do their part with Metro PCS.
Tenured Def Jam Records stars Redman and Method Man are known for their smoked-out catalog and film work, but the duo also is charitable. Red and Meth have teamed with Staten Island, New York-based barbershop franchise Against Da Grain and local boutique Richmond Hood Shop to provide food to less fortunate this holiday season.
Coined "No Jive Turkey Day," the partners will provide meals, sponsored by Metro PCS, to Staten Island families next Saturday November 20, at Our Lady of Council Church on Austin Place.
Locals are also asked to donate food to the cause, and may provide non-perishable items this week at the following locations:
61 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10301
821 Castleton Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10310
621 Midland Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10306
It's always good to see people give back to the community and offer help to those who can't help themselves. Props to all musicians and entertainers who have the means to give back and support the less fortunate.
